UN Condemns Israel’s Actions in Gaza as ‘Ethnic Cleansing’ Amid Rising Casualties

Human Rights

Gaza City  The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights has sharply condemned Israel’s intensified military operations in Gaza, labeling them as acts of “ethnic cleansing.” Over the past 24 hours, more than 140 Palestinians have been killed, escalating an already devastating conflict.

All public hospitals in northern Gaza have been rendered non-operational due to continuous bombardments, severely limiting medical aid for the injured and sick.

UN experts warn that the ongoing violence risks triggering a humanitarian catastrophe, with official figures reporting over 52,000 deaths and 118,000 injuries as of May 4, 2025.

International calls for ceasefire and urgent humanitarian access continue to grow as the crisis deepens.
