TEL AVIV/SANAA A hypersonic ballistic missile launched by Yemen’s Houthi rebels struck near Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, injuring eight individuals and causing temporary suspension of flights. This marks the first time a missile has landed so close to Israel’s main airport.
In response, Israel conducted airstrikes targeting Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen, including the port city of Hodeidah and Sanaa International Airport. The Israeli military claims these strikes were aimed at dismantling weapon manufacturing facilities used by the Houthis.
The Houthis have pledged retaliation, and Iran has condemned Israel’s actions, accusing it of using the conflict to derail nuclear negotiations with the U.S.
